Medical Disclaimer
Trufa is a technology platform that connects patients with independent, licensed medical providers. Trufa does not practice medicine, diagnose conditions, or prescribe medications. All clinical decisions — including whether to prescribe treatment — are made solely by the independent licensed providers in our network.

Not a Substitute for Professional Medical Advice
Nothing on the Trufa website, platform, or in any communications from Trufa should be interpreted as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Never disregard or delay seeking professional medical guidance because of something you have read on this website.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency services immediately. Trufa is not an emergency medical service.
Informed Consent
Before any treatment is approved, you will receive informed consent documentation that clearly outlines the potential benefits, known risks, possible side effects, and available alternatives associated with your prescribed treatment. You will be asked to review and acknowledge this documentation prior to your medication being dispensed.
By proceeding with treatment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted the information provided in your consent forms.
Compounded Medications
Trufa providers may prescribe compounded medications prepared by state-licensed compounding pharmacies. Compounded medications are customized preparations tailored to individual patient needs and are not reviewed or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for safety, effectiveness, or quality.
Compounded medications differ from FDA-approved commercially manufactured drugs. Patients should carefully review all information provided with their medication and contact their provider with any questions or concerns.
FDA-Approved Medications
Some medications prescribed through the Trufa platform are FDA-approved. FDA approval means the drug has been reviewed for safety and effectiveness based on the manufacturer's specific formulation and intended use. Your provider will discuss which type of medication is being prescribed and why.
Individual Results & No Guarantees
Results vary from person to person. No specific treatment outcome, weight loss result, or absence of side effects is guaranteed. Factors including individual health history, lifestyle, adherence to the prescribed protocol, and other variables all influence outcomes.
Clinical data referenced on this website reflects average results from published research studies and does not represent a guarantee of individual results.
Who Should Not Use This Service
Trufa's services are intended for adults 18 years of age and older who are U.S. residents. Our platform is not appropriate for individuals who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or who have certain medical conditions that may be contraindicated with the treatments we offer.
GLP-1 medications are not appropriate for individuals with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN2). You will be asked about your health history during intake, and your provider will determine clinical appropriateness.
